A decade ago, the Kannada film industry was striving
hard to make quality films to join the race with other
South Indian films for a Pan India recognition.
People who follow KGF from Part 1 have a huge expectation for
this sequel and Director didn't disappoint the fans
in Chapter 2. Quite a lot of detailing went into the
script to bring out the true essence of KGF from Chapter one.
Prashanth Neel will surely join the list of top directors
in India. He deserves all praise and applause for his great
work in the film. The storyline is quite
simple but the way it was written and narrated makes the film stand out from other commercial films. The inclusion of Adheera and Ramika Sen adds value to the script.
In my opinion,
KGF Chapter 2 is one of the best commercial films made in
Non-Linear format. The film travels back and forth with some interesting twists and turns to unfold the remaining story. Prasanth Neel outlined and sketched all the vital characters with a purpose. The theme of KGF is to glorify the heroic acts of Rocky Bhai but at the same time, each build-up sequence is carefully coined with emotional value. The audience erupts in theatres for all game-changing moments.
Yash again proves that he is the best in business to perform
a powerful role like Rocky. His screen presence
with a rugged beard look and fearless attitude
is precise for the build-up scenes.
The introduction scene of Rocky in Chapter 2 is a
treat to watch
.The climax encounter with
Adheera gives an adrenaline rush to the audience.
There are quite a lot of goosebumps
moments in the film and the best among
all is the Police Station gunshot scene.
Srinidhi Shetty plays a less impactful female lead but towards
the end, she performed well to an extent.
Sanjay Dutta as Adheera gets a stunning introduction but his
role was sidelined in the middle portion of the film as
Raveena share the screen as Ramika Sen.
All the supporting characters are connected well in the plot.
Prakash Raj takes the role of Anant Nag as narrator
but it was not engaging as it was in Chapter one.
Ravi Basrur's background score is the sole of the film.
The ear-deafening sound syncs well with the visuals
but in some portions, the dialogues are not audible.
Bhuvan Gowda's cinematography is truly world-class.
The top angle shots and stunt sequences are captured brilliant
ly which gives an awestruck viewing experience.
A dark tone was maintained throughout the film which
blends well with the theme.
Editing work was completed by
Ujwal Kulkarni who is one of the youngest editors in the
industry but his work in this film is exceptional.
The sleek cuts worked out well for all the heroic moments.
The car chase scene will be the testimony of his great work,
where blackout cuts are used for the chasing sequence
which gives a different perspective to the scene.
The production unit and art direction department
contributed their best for the sequel.
The visual output looks grandeur and magnificent with the sets
and VFX effects.
On the downside, the film contains some gory bloodshed and violence which is unavoidable for a gangster film.
However, it may not be suitable for family audiences.
Overall, KGF: Chapter 2 is a perfect sequel filled with full energy and goosebumps moments
so watch it on a big screen to feel the stunning theatrical experience.
Don't rush up when the movie ends, there is a surprise package at the end for the next sequel!
